The New Earth
On the new earth, in which righteousness
dwells, God will provide an eternal home for the redeemed and a perfect
environment for everlasting life, love, joy, and learning in His presence.
For here God Himself will dwell with His people, and suffering and death
will have passed away. The great controversy will be ended, and sin will
be no more. All things, animate and inanimate, will declare that God is
love; and He shall reign forever. Amen.
2 Peter 3:13

But according to his promise we wait for new heavens and a new earth in
which righteousness dwells.
Isaiah
35; 65:17-25
(35)
1 The wilderness and the dry
land shall be glad, the desert shall rejoice and blossom; like the crocus
2 it shall blossom
abundantly, and rejoice with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon shall
be given to it, the majesty of Carmel and Sharon. They shall see the glory
of the LORD, the majesty of our God. 3
Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble knees.
4 Say to those who are of a
fearful heart, "Be strong, fear not! Behold, your God will come with
vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you."
5 Then the eyes of the blind
shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf unstopped;
6 then shall the lame man leap
like a hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing for joy. For waters shall
break forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert;
7 the burning sand shall become
a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water; the haunt of jackals
shall become a swamp, the grass shall become reeds and rushes.
8 And a highway shall be there,
and it shall be called the Holy Way; the unclean shall not pass over it,
and fools shall not err therein. 9
No lion shall be there, nor shall any ravenous beast come up on it; they
shall not be found there, but the redeemed shall walk there.
10 And the ransomed of the LORD
shall return, and come to Zion with singing; everlasting joy shall be upon
their heads; they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing
shall flee away.

17 "For behold, I create new
heavens and a new earth; and the former things shall not be remembered or
come into mind. 18 But be
glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create; for behold, I create
Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
19 I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and be glad in my people;
no more shall be heard in it the sound of weeping and the cry of distress.
20 No more shall there be in
it an infant that lives but a few days, or an old man who does not fill
out his days, for the child shall die a hundred years old, and the sinner
a hundred years old shall be accursed. 21
They shall build houses and inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards and
eat their fruit. 22 They
shall not build and another inhabit; they shall not plant and another eat;
for like the days of a tree shall the days of my people be, and my chosen
shall long enjoy the work of their hands. 23
They shall not labor in vain, or bear children for calamity; for they
shall be the offspring of the blessed of the LORD, and their children with
them. 24 Before they call I
will answer, while they are yet speaking I will hear.
25 The wolf and the lamb shall
feed together, the lion shall eat straw like the ox; and dust shall be the
serpent's food. They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain,
says the LORD."

"Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
Revelation 21:1-7; 22:1-5; 11:15
(21)
1
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the
first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.
2 And I saw the holy city, new
Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned
for her husband; 3 and I
heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the dwelling of God is
with men. He will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God
himself will be with them; 4
he will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more,
neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain any more, for the
former things have passed away." 5
And he who sat upon the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." Also
he said, "Write this, for these words are trustworthy and true."
6 And he said to me, "It is
done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the
thirsty I will give from the fountain of the water of life without
payment. 7 He who conquers
shall have this heritage, and I will be his God and he shall be my son.

1
Then he showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal,
flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb
2 through the middle of the street of the city;
also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds
of fruit, yielding its fruit each month; and the leaves of the tree were
for the healing of the nations. 3
There shall no more be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the
Lamb shall be in it, and his servants shall worship him;
4 they shall see his face, and
his name shall be on their foreheads. 5
And night shall be no more; they need no light of lamp or sun, for the
Lord God will be their light, and they shall reign for ever and ever.

15
Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in
heaven, saying, "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our
Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign for ever and ever."
